Remembering D-Day

Seventy five years ago today, the Allies landed on the shores of the beach at Normandy, pushing the Nazis out and liberating France in the largest amphibious assault ever launched to date. This is widely considered the major turning point in the war, giving the Allies the advantage they needed to defeat the Nazis.
